We have been busy!! Oh, what fun we have had learning new things the past few weeks! Reading: We have been reading stories with familiar characters and looking for similarities and differences between them. We also have been reading Non Fiction books about Groundhogs and Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Phonics: We are still working on making CVC words and producing words that rhyme. Our weekly spelling tests have been a huge success. I am so proud of each and every student! Social Studies: Please continue to practice your address! We will continue to work on this standard all year. We just started learning about Presidents day and have been studying Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Math: We are solving addition and subtraction word problems using objects, pictures, and a number line. We are also composing and decomposing numbers within 5 and 10.
